The End of the Dirty Boar

In 2017 the Dirty Boar began as one of Belgium’s first gravel events, born from friendship and a love for gravel riding. For years, we’ve worked tirelessly to keep it a familial event, where riders could share dust, beers, and stories from the High Fens.
But as gravel riding exploded into the mainstream, the landscape shifted. Year after year, securing permits grew harder. Authorities have tightened regulations as gravel events continue to grow in popularity, making it more challenging for us organizers to navigate the requirements.

After two consecutive cancellations of our Gravel Ride, we decided to stop organising our events.
While this chapter ends, we invite you to keep the Dirty Boar spirit alive. We’re declaring the first weekend of September as the Dirty Boar Remembrance Weekend. Ride however you like, no schedule, no checkpoints, just pure gravel fun.

For your gravel pleasure you can find 2 big routes in “gravel ride” section of our website. Or you can find a shorter routre in the “tracks” section of our website.

To everyone who joined us over the years; riders, partners and our incredible volunteers who believed in the Dirty Boar from the beginning: thank you. You made this event into something unforgettable.
Keep riding dirty,

Jens - Tom - Karel - Simon - Fré
