Cancelation Dirty Boar Gravelride 2025

Dear Riders, Partners, and Supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the Dirty Boar Gravelride 2025, scheduled for September 13th. Despite our relentless efforts to secure the necessary permits, we’ve faced roadblocks from local authorities.

What Happened?
After last year’s denial by the City of Eupen, we proactively engaged in discussions with the Eupen Police Department in September 2024. They assured us there would be no issues for this year’s event, and based on these assurances, we proceeded with planning. However, the Eupen City Council last week denied our permit request, contradicting earlier indications.

Following Eupen’s decision, the City of Raeren revoked their previously approved permit (granted in January 2025), leaving us with no feasible route or alternatives.

Refund Process
Refunding of all tickets is currently in progress. If you haven’t received your refund after a week, please contact us at ticketing@dirtyboar.be.

We are devastated by this outcome. Our team, sponsors, and volunteers poured immense effort into making this year’s ride unforgettable. The last-minute permit revocations by the municipal authorities of Eupen and Raeren have left us with no viable alternative but to cancel.

For now, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your support and patience.

Gravel ride

September 13th, 2025

The Gravel Ride (170km) is a one-day endurance gravel ride through the Hautes Fagnes region of Belgium.

The route features well-maintained rolling gravel and forest roads, occasional river crossings, a couple of lakes, and an abundance of magnificent scenic views. While it is generally not overly technical, a few challenging sections can add to the adventure!

June 7-9th, 2025

Yes, you read that right—this year, our bikepacker is a 3-day event! As always, it remains a "bikepacking-style" gravel adventure, taking you through the stunning Hautes Fagnes region in Belgium.

One day simply isn’t enough to experience all that this area has to offer. With our Bikepacker, you can explore as many of these fantastic roads as possible over a 3 dayweekend, all while enjoying the company of fellow gravel enthusiasts.

Are you eager to experience bikepacking for the very first time? This weekend is for you! All you require are a few bikepacking bags to get started.
